In today's society more and more people are using alternative therapies. Unfortunately our medical society has become so riddled with prescription medications to cure even the common cold. Most prescriptions can cause additional symptomology without curing the original problem. Doctors are less personal than they used to be and spend less and less time with the patient. Alternative medicines unlike traditional medicine incorporate the philosophy that a problem, symptom or disease needs to be treated wholely, meaning not only relieving the symptoms but resolving what caused the problem. To determine this holistic doctors need to take a deeper look into the patients symptomology and life. Therefore alternative medicine is becoming a larger part of medical practices in the US. Unfortunately, that's not to say that doctors should just start prescribing whatever they think can cure cancer. If doctors could prescribe whatever they wanted as part of treatment for cancer then there would be an epidemic of people who are not physicians toting remedies to cure cancer. This could potentially cause people who are already suffering even more pain and suffering through false hope and more than likely lots of money.
Now patients who are willing to try alternative medicines and therapies to see if they can rid their bodies of cancer are more than welcome to try these if they are against traditional cancer treatments or are at their last straw. But until our medical society can prove that any of these alternative therapies are actual cures or remedies for cancer then they should not be represented as cures for cancer. Testing and research should still be conducted no matter how much the cost. But seriously, drink anything warm, lots of liquids and sleep. And just go to a gas station and get some cough drops...you will thank yourself. 2)   That first answer is really good :)

I personally like to eat chicken flavored ramen (with most of the water boiled or dumped out) with about 2 tsp of white vinegar and honey each in addition to the flavor packet. Noodles are easy to swallow and the honey coats the back of your throat so it won't hurt. I actually eat this ramen all the time but it really helps me when my throat is sore.
