Question 2
Does smoking weed make you stronger?...  I've went through so many suicidal thoughts, Obessive thoughts, Depression, social anxiety and I'm not saying the weed caused my problems (although it might of worsened them) but I feel like im starting to see everything more clear now and I'm a dead happy person, I love everyone around me, I don't judge people who act rude or angry, because of how I've felt in the past, It's like i understand life a lot more! Oh and I can't function normally without weed i feel very anxious

Answers
1)   Nope - it destroys your lungs.. then when you work out or try to get stronger or whatever, you can't breathe correctly - damaged lungs have major health hazards in and of themselves.. then the effects of weed weaken your immune system and slow your reactions.. it also rots your teeth.. I'd say no all the way. - Lisa

2)   Makes u happier, but slows u down in life if you don't smoke it properly. Sounds like you have an addiction to weed. - Kat

3)   Eh no!!
Your brain cells get destroyed, your lungs take a battering and you really don't see the world clearly.
You need professional help and not something that will make you brain dead. - woody47

4)   Marijuana can help and worsen depression at the same time. Sometimes when you're baked you'll have some deep thoughts and sometimes even feel enlightened by them. I don't think it makes you stronger, but I think it has an ability to help with certain issues.
In stores, I'll always always smile at cashiers and tell them to have a good day, even if they're rude. Someone's gotta spread the kindness around, I figure they're going through some sort of low time in their life to feel so down. - [ ★♏ . A I R ]

5)   I think if you are smoking weed to get through life, you probably need counseling. FYI, I'm pro-marijuana legalization, though I dont' smoke much myself, but I think anything in excess is a bad thing particularly if you use it to self-medicate (be it alcohol or pot). If you have to smoke pot to cope with normal life function, you definitely need to seek counseling. Pot doesn't make you stronger, it makes you apathetic, which isn't the same thing. Please seek counseling in someone that you click with so that you can find a different path to happiness. Good luck! - A D

6)   You need to learn to cope without weed. Marijuana can increase depression and anxiety. It is harmful to the brain and lungs. It is expensive and can act as a crutch enabling you not to grow and develop emotionally and not to learn how to cope and act appropriately. You probably are not any more pleasant to be around you just think you are because you are high.

Get some counseling, get some healthy hobbies, get some friends who have better things to do than smoke weed. Don't let life pass you by. - Michelle

7)   if used moderately it can help you. i dont recommend making a habit of smoking it alone though. - Anthony Oliver

Question 3
Can you get high from eating raw weed?...

Answers
1)   yup you can get a good body stone just relax - dave

2)   Oh yes - it's a nice high too - not quite as jagged as when you smoke it. People cook a lid of pot into some brownies. But pot's a lot stronger than it was when I was a kid - maybe you'd only need 1/2 an ounce.

The high lasted longer than smoking high - and it was really nice! - Vulcanus

3)   Yes. It takes longer to hit you and it will be intense. Don't eat as much as you would smoke. - A D

4)   You can get high from eating it, but it has to be cooked into something. If you just take straight weed and swallow it, you just wasted it. THC is fat soluble and your stomach cannot process THC unless it is in solution with a fat. You can make cannabutter and smear it on a cracker or something. I've also heard you can mix it in cheese and microwave it for a bit depending on how much. - Jumpman

5)   Yes...Haven't you ever heard of pot brownies?.. - Diamondgirl in Atlanta

6)   Yes but it doesn't taste very good. - abcxyz

Question 4
is cannabis used to treat bipolar disorder?...

Answers
1)   Where it's legal, yes.

ETA: Well, I should say "Yes, and even where it's legal" ;] - Anon Ymous

2)   it never helped me with bipolar disorder, it is the amino acid L-trypothan that has got me off the roller coaster, I now sleep at nite, wake up in the morning, and know the difference, and have an appetite and interest in life and getting out of bed! But only if I take it after a few days I skip it all comes back. And feeling normal when taking this has been a big adjustment, but I do believe that cannabis is something I can now use and enjoy, when I was real bad bipolar it only made me paranoid. - Kathy Miller

3)   Indeed it is in some states. - [ ★♏ . A I R ]

4)   Absolutely and unequivocally no. It's well established to severely worsen the long term prognosis of bipolar disorder in terms of severity of symptoms, frequency of episodes and resistance to treatment. - Az R

5)   Evidently there are some people that don't know how to read and understand your question lol lol lol. The answer is YES if it is used in a medical marijuana state and is listed as a treatment of such a condition by the state. Each medical marijuana state has a list of the conditions which are considered medical marijuana usage acceptable. If the state is a non medical marijuana state than no, it is not used to treat bipolar disorder.

I would also like to add that for every listing of a source against the use of medical marijuana, there are listings for the use of medical marijuana. You can tell by the name of the excerpt it came from just what their opinion is going to be. For example, I will list noted professionals that are very supportive of cannabis for the treatment of bipolar disorder. There is a lot more information on procon.org if you wish to research further.

-Bill Zimmerman, PhD, former President of the Americans For Medical Rights

Position: Not Clearly Pro or Con to the question "Should marijuana be a medical option?"
Reasoning: "The APA has no official policy on medical marijuana." - sauve4te

6)   yes, some people have used canbabis in the past to treat their bipolar disorder-they find smoking some weed helps them to "cycle" less and to balance out their mood. - Anthony Oliver
