Question 2
What's in it for the Anti-Altmeders?...  There are some genuine skeptics here who find it odd that people choose some kinds of therapies which they feel are implausible.
They and others are concerned about the skill set and education of some of the unregulated fields as well. This can pose a danger which is not to be overlooked.
However, there are others who continually misrepresent and lie.

In the UK, France, Ireland and Australasia Osteopathy and Chiropractic are regulated and the practitioners are all registered Primary care practitioners.
Although some of the practices may lack plausibility, all of the practitioners will have been properly screened and tested to ensure clinical and patient safety.
In fact the regulated non medical professionals have a much better safety record, much lower rates of death / serious injury and much lower insurance premiums than the medical profession.
These are facts well known to the 'Anti-altmeders', its been pointed out repeatedly yet these spammers overlook these facts try and change the goal posts and try and dumb down our Qualifications.
When public safety is at stake, is it realistic that the Government is going to award primary care status without ensuring that we are suitably skilled first?
What the spammer are trying to say is the Governments give this status to doctors, is satisfied they are safe and tests them properly and the public can trust this.

These same governments give the same status to another profession and subsequently doesn't test them and ensure they are up to standard and the public can't trust this.
Is this realistic?
No of course not. This defies logic and makes no sense.

These people who are "skeptics" claim there is no funding in it for them yet why do they persist in lying?

My question is, what is in it for them if they are not getting financial reward for discrediting us?
As I've shown they aren't truthful about so many things, can you believe anything they say including "no one is paying me for doing this"?

my belief is they are so fearful of being even slightly wrong about the central dogma of medicine. they lie to to cover themselves. they have no desire for information exchange because the pseudo skeptics truly believe all of health care belongs to them. fact is ignored. i have posted links to data that challenge beliefs and always they say the link does not work, (epecially to controlled studies). - fretochose

2)   "Although some of the practices may lack plausibility, all of the practitioners will have been properly screened and tested to ensure clinical and patient safety."

Bollix. Chiropractors in Australia and other countries claim to be able to successfully treat child conditions like childhood asthma, colic, ear infection and immune disorders. They make these claims openly and market them heavily. When challenged they cannot provide one decent shred of evidence to support these claims. What's the harm? If people forgo proper medical treatment of these conditions in favor of chiropractic the consequences can be fatal. Furthermore, pediatric neck crunching can not be considered safe: http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/5dOTma/gussf.wordpress.com/2010/12/04/body-brilliant-chiropractic-1-at-manipulation//r:f

"Deaths after chiropractic: a review of published cases"
E. Ernst
Article first published online: 16 JUN 2010
Objective:  The aim of this study was to summarise all cases in which chiropractic spinal manipulation was followed by death.
Conclusion:  Numerous deaths have occurred after chiropractic manipulations. The risks of this treatment by far outweigh its benefit.
http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1742-1241.2010.02352.x/abstract

In October this year New Zealand medical researchers Professor Shaun Holt and Andrew Gilbey issued a strong warning against taking children to chiropractors for any reason. Professor Holt was quoted as saying:

“There is no plausible explanation why high-velocity manipulation of the spine can help children with these medical conditions, it is an extraordinary claim”

“Given that this is a multibillion dollar industry, the lack of good research that has been undertaken is staggering. There is also evidence that many chiropractors advise against routine childhood immunizations, which is irresponsible.”

“there are some serious safety concerns related to the unnecessary use of x-rays and the manipulation of childrens’ spines and so we advise parents to instead consult their family doctor who has been trained to recognize and treat a wide range of medical problems. In Canada, an undercover researcher reported that 4 out of 5 chiropractors found serious problems with the spine of a child and said that these required urgent chiropractic treatment, whereas an experienced pediatric orthopedic surgeon who also examined the girl found her to be perfectly healthy.”

You do not know if you have a better safety record at all. For starters you are comparing chiro and osteopathy to the entire medical profession. That's a false analogy. Compare it to comparable conventional treatments, like physiotherapy or musculoskeletal medicine.

So why do YOU persist in lying?

What's in it for the skeptics? Do you think that any honest and caring person can allow bogus health claims to go unchallenged? Especially for serious conditions - like homeopathy can cure epilepsy, asthma and cancer? Or chiropractic can cure childhood asthma and immune disorders? Skeptics are doing what they do out of a sense of decency and they are more often then not appalled by the lies and tactics of the scam that is the majority of alternative medicine.

After reading this, you may need to go and have your chakras balanced, your vital life force energies unblocked, its innate intelligence twigged, and its Qi manipulated. You should also cleanse your crystals, get your aura read, have a ear candling to release negative energies, burn some lavender to help your chi, recharge your healing magnet, have a nice glass of urine and don't forget to use your detox foot pads. - Gary Y

3)   There is no point in arguing the case of complimentary medicine and ways.
They (skeptics), learned and employ one and one tactic only with their latest blogs.

Lies, lies and lies again, with some truth to cover up, like the icing on the cake.
They did learn the most important weapon of the ideological warfare.

That even the most striking lie, repeated thousand times - does become the truth.

@ "So why do YOU persist in lying" said Baldy.

Why? Because lying in a horizontal position is the best way for the body to rest.
Judging by your answers, you must sleep in the vertical one as that is affecting the brain patterns. - Aphrodite's Golden Apple

4)   What's in it for me?

If I get just one person to take their kid to get proper medical care instead of bringing them to some con artist snake oil salesman, I feel good about myself.

Maybe if my dad had brought me to a doctor instead of relying on "Incan healing clay", I could actually walk without a limp today. - Flizbap 2.0

5)   they are people who are afraid to question the common "wisdom". their illusory world is constructed for them by their abuser's propaganda, whose ill gotten wealth and prominence to them signify truth. most people live in this fantasy world, and will adamantly defend their ignorance against the threat of reality. - Mr E

6)   Thank you for telling us your story!
Now we know where your deep seated hate of complimentary ways does come from.
Just because of some Naturopathic amateur or real snake oil merchant who couldn't help you.

Question 3
Would Huffing Nail Polish remover Kill you?...  My friends do it all the time. And I smoke weed to get high but they say huffing is quicker, but i heard it can kill some people they're first try it so ...

Answers
1)   Huffing ANYTHING to get high can kill you! Don't do it!!!!!!

Discourage your friends from doing it as well. I can't tell you how many times a family or friend has found someone dead from huffing. - ♥♥The Queen Has Spoken♥♥

2)   Look up "sudden sniffing death"... i'd stick with weed if I where you IMO.. - ryanjmd

3)   Yes, absolutely. Huffing is just about the most dangerous high there is. It is very common for it to kill on the first time tried. Smoking pot is dumb for a lot of reasons, but at least as long as you don't get behind the wheel of a car it isn't going to ever kill you even if you smoke yourself into a stupor. Huffing is just plain crazy. I'd be angry if my kid was smoking pot... if they were huffing I would send them that very night to rehab with no questions asked and no chance to talk me out of it. I strongly suggest you stop smoking pot. It is a waste of life. But no matter what don't get into huffing and you need to unload those friends who do. They will be into meth before you know it. If they live that long. - SethSpeaks

4)   That is fucking stupid. YES it can kill you . Anything that isn't oxygen getting to your Brain can kill you. Not only that but kill every brain cell you have. It'd be no different from suffocating, or it could just shut down every brain function making it so you have no motor skills and wow wouldn't that be great - Tuesdaysgone

5)   Any chemical huffed can kill you, especially nail polish remover. Don't be a moron and huff with the rest of them. - Dentist In Training!

Question 4
Camps to help people realize to be thankful?...  Okay well one of my friends helped me realize that I need to stop complaining about the small things because I honestly have it easy. I really want to change and to be more thankful for what I do have. Is there any summer camps or weekend camps or some type of program that doesn't cost too much that helps people (like me) to be more thankful for what I have. I hate admitting it, but I feel as if I will never know how good I have it until I have "nothing". Im thinking a wilderness camp. I know I will hate it during it, but in the end it will help me see. Thanks so much! :)

Answers
1)   The United States Marines have a good one. I think its called "boot" camp. :) - Alex Marcucci

2)   Try "Outward Bound". Its too bad you need to go to such an extreme measure to grow thankful. You could also volunteer at a hospital or some other place where people are suffering. You could do some good while growing to understand how much you have to be grateful for. - Cat Alina

3)   Only a spoiled brat would think they need to go to special camp to realize how well off they are. That's morally disgusting. Seriously, ever see someone that is homeless? Cold, hungry, unbathed and smelly? You have heat, food, running water, blankets, clothes? Why don't you just wake up. - Emma

4)   they're called churches. - Mr E

5)   Its a good thing that you are starting to realize that you need to be more thankful for what you have. Try helping out with the Salvation Army or something like that. Just because there are so many people out there and you will find that a lot of people don't have ANYTHING! My sister works in a school and there was this little boy who was suppose to go to chucky cheese for his birthday but his mom didnt take him. My sister asked what they did for his birthday and he said he got $1. So my sister got a book and something else small and gave it to him and he was SOOO happy. There are so many people out there that are grateful for the littlest things and everybody should be just as grateful as them! So volunteering at something like the salvation army will help. Good Luck. - sssss

Question 5
Does ADD medicine make you feel this way?...  I take two types. in the morning, i think it's concerta, and it's really bothering me. i never take it on the weekend, but i did today to study for finals, and it's even worse than i thought: At school, it kicks in around 2nd period. I can't sit still, and i always want the teacher to stop talking and to do more work, or focus on another thing. I'm never hungry during the day, which sucks. I only take a few bites out of whatever i'm eating, or i have to drink something because i really won't want food. I do need the medicine though. I went off of it for a while, and my grades dropped! I took concerta today, and instead of focusing on my homework, i searched the web frequently for different things to entertain me because i needed to do lots of things at a time. Is this normal? My afternoon medicine helps though

Answers
1)   ADD medicines are well known for there appetite suppressing effects. - Patrick

2)   I took concerta for the longest time. What I experienced was I was extremely calm and emotionless, people thought I was on illegal drugs, I also was never hungry (concerta is an appetite suppressant) It quit working for me after a while, like I was taking 54mg of Concerta every day and I believe that was maximum dose, and it quit working for me. I ended up going off all my medication because of the feeling of impending doom I got from these drugs for this disorder and learned to control it myself. Which has actually worked a lot better, my grades are amazing, I've become a great test taker, my college GPA went from a 1.29 to a 2.62 in one semester when I went off the meds. Concerta will at some point stop working, these were some of the things I experienced on that drug. - Dentist In Training!

3)   I experience almost exactly the same things as you have described. I have taken Concerta, adderall, ridilin, you name it. It definitely affects my eating habits, making me not hungry at all. I do find it easy to get distracted while I'm on the stuff, so I usually shut everything off that might distract me. It helps me study (I'm in law school) but I must practice some self control or I will get sidetracked as opposed to doing what I'm supposed to be doing. Most of my friends that take these medications also experience the same side affects. I find myself forcing myself to eat when I realize I haven't eaten all day. I'm not an expert but these are my personal experiences with ADD medications. Hope this helps. - thomson brad

4)   There are a lot of side affects that come with concerta, I took it for about seven years and I m so happy that Im off it now. When I was on it I had no appetite and lost a lot of weight(not in a good way) I never took it on the weekends or during the summer. I also had a hard time sleeping at night and had feelings of depression. I felt like a robot and would constantly have little muscle spasms (tics). Now that Im older Ive smartened up and realized what concerta has been doing to me and have been off of it for almost a year now and I feel...Free.

here's an article and list of some of the side affects of concerta, it really helps to know the drug you're taking. - Lennie
