im 15 and is it ok to smoke weed as a recreational user?

Question 1
im 15 and is it ok to smoke weed as a recreational user?...  also how can u not get addicted to weed? please dont say ur 2 young cos i no that but i've already had sum and i luv it. so no bull crap!

Answers
1)   wtf are you serious, why the hell would ask this question "is it ok to smoke weed" well what do u think u dumb piece of sh*t.
lol honestly i hope it kills you and ruins ur life, because you are a complete idiot - James

2)   Absolutely not! At 15 your brain is not totally developed. Do you want to grow up to have less brain function than you were intended to have? I am not kidding. - Meme

3)   u LUV it, ur already addicted - rowdy alpha male

4)   NO - marcusquate

5)   Yes it's fine. Maybe try and stay away from the stronger stuff for a while, until your brain and body are fully formed, but it's a harmless "drug"

The physical addiction is in tobacco, so if you can avoid that, you're rollin! If not, never mind, it happens to the best of us. Weed its self isn't physically addictive, but the enjoyment of smoking it does make you want to do it more, until it basically becomes a habit. You don't NEED it, you just WANT it. Hope this helps

Oh and to all the people who call you a complete idiot etc. -They've probably never even tried it. Just like politicians, they have massive opinions on something they know NOTHING about. There are no recorded fatalities from Cannabis.

And another thing. You see how much abuse James gave you? You would never hear such a sharp, violent reply from someone who smokes weed, because they wouldn't be nearly as highly strung. Plus, they would also know it can't kill you.

Happy Smokin' - OldGregg

6)   You are COMPLETE idiot to smoke weed you going to ruin your life and cause yourself serious harm. Some people..seriously some freaken people!! - josephcrome321

7)   I have an uncle who did it. He now says, it ruined the braincells in his brain because he was a lot smarter then. He has a lot of problems now. Please do not touch the stuff anymore. It is not a healthy thing, if it were, you could buy it in the stores. It is illegal for a reason. - Stephanie F

8)   Yeah, just don't let it take over your life. Go to school, study, get good grades :) - Jake

9)   no bull crap. i'm from the 60's and some of my friends kept it up. do you want to keep all of you brain cells? a person starts forgetting things. it makes it hard to make dicisions. you start talking like hawkeye in MASH. donald sutherland. crack head is the modern expression! - John Whittington

Question 2
Should I continue smoking weed? What about eating it?...  My sister gave me an awesome birthday present when I turned 11, she blazed me out for the first time. I am now 13, and I've only smoked weed about 5-6 times in my entire life. I really enjoy the feel, but I get paranoid too. I worry about hospital check-ups even though I don't really go to check-ups regularly anyway...but still, just in case.
I've read an article saying that weed can effect my learning abilities, growth, and can slower my coordination.
Since smoke in the lungs is bad, is it okay if I just eat the marijuana in brownies and in other foods? (my mom is ok with me eating it with food just not smoking it...uh yeah.)
I don't really care about the memory thing, I mean I'm going to be an artist when I grow up anyway so I don't really care. That may sound arrogant...but whatever ^w^
So, helpful advice please? I can't decide what to do. I need more facts, answers from people with experience in this kind of thing. No silly answers please. And if my gender matters, I am female.
Thanks.

2)   You an idiot :). - JamieL

3)   I am 15 and i have smoked weed since i was about your age, and yeah it its great, and why would you stop smoking it? It´s great xD
But it does make you dumber! :/
Live life to the max! Smoke weeeeeeeed! - ALICE S

4)   You're stupid.
You will eventually die, your only a little kid and your body can't handle class A drugs, do you really need to ask the internet that. If your mum says its okay then she must be taking somthing too.

Oh, and when your older and you still smoke it no one will like you. - Pancake ♥

5)   OMG don't do it. Why waste you time with that garbage? You're 13, there's so many betterthings you can be doing with your life. This question literally makes me sad. Please don't screw up your life like this and if you want to be an artist, work on that instead of blazing up. Jeez. - Jenna

6)   Eating it is not very healthy either. Have you ever tried water pipe? also knows as shisha or hooka? Its tobacco that you smoke with flavoured water. its really good. Of course it doesn't give the same kick as weed does, but its a good substitute. A lot of my friends who have struggled with smoking and weed, have found that shisha is a good replacement. I really think you should stop with the weed and turn to shisha and reasons:

WEED IS EXPENSIVE! simple as that. It can ruin your future relationships (i assume you want a boyfriend, or maybe a gf, get married and have kids yes?) well weed will affect your children at birth, with birth defects and diseases. There are much better things to spend that kind of money on.

weed does affect your sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch. Everything that most artists need. so you want to be a good artist? stop weed.

WEED IS ILLEGAL! you can get thrown in jail for smoking it, or juvenile jail. in some countries like singapore and malaysia, they will give you the death penalty, now i might be wrong but i don't know anyone who has gotten away with weed, or any drugs in singapore or KL. you might have heard about the australian uni student who went to singapore with a little bit of grass. The singaporean government executed him weeks later. its really serious.

WEED IS UNATTRACTIVE! weed makes your breathe horrible, gives you bad skin, ruins your eyes. weed makes you ugly. now you are a girl, yes? don't you want to be pretty and beautiful or even hot? if so, stop doing weed. if you continue, once you're at the age of 20 - 30, you will look like your 40 or even 50 :O

my advice, stop weed. if its really hard, i suggest shisha/hooka/water pipe as a substitute. and no, eating weed instead wont due. - toolbox642

7)   if you eat it then it will be in your system like your pee.
but supposedly it lasts longer than smoking. my friend tried it but she thinks the weed was laced so be careful about that ! good luck ;) - ely

8)   I've been smoking pot for years, but I didn't start until I was out of college. I don't know if it's a good idea for a 13 year old to do pot. Your mind is still developing. Even an artist needs all her brains. Art is a matter of being aware of all that goes on around you, reinterpreting input, all that. Pot affects your awareness, your perceptions.

Anyway, I tried eating pot years ago and it doesn't really work. It tastes awful, it has a gritty texture, and it doesn't really get you high. But these days my GF is fighting cancer (she's mostly over it) and using medical marijuana (legal here in California). At the dispensaries there are cookies and brownies made with the oil that is extracted from pot (which is called 'butter'). And that stuff really works! The cookies and brownies cost about $2/dose, and one does gives you a nice gentle buzz that lasts a whole evening.

Probably the most harmful thing about pot is drawing burning smoke into your lungs. That can't be good for you! People don't get cancer from it because nobody smokes as much pot as cigarette smokers smoke cigarettes. The actual drug has never been found to be harmful, but they haven't done studies on how it affects mental development in your teens, and that's important. You should at least go very easy on the stuff until you are 18. - Mr. Smartypants

Question 3
Are vaccines to blame for the rise in allergies and asthma?...
To Rhianna: It says on your about me page that you are a medical student, so you are bias. No one is going to believe anything you say

Answers
1)   No. There is no evidence to support this.

The most likely explanation for the rise in autoimmune diseases and allergies and asthma is the hygiene hypothesis- - mostly due to there being a lack of parasitic infections in developed countries.

Nothing in science suggests vaccines are to blame, in fact if you look at the data, these diseases are quite clearly not the result of vaccines. There are genetic factors involved too. - Rhianna

2)   In my opinion it's the crap (hormones, preservatives, etc.) that's put into our food, exacerbated by the consequences of environmental contamination. - Victoria_in_Cali

3)   No, there is no evidence to support this assertion whatsoever.
Not that you are interested in evidence, judging by your comments to those who have taken the time to answer you. You are a typical vaccination denier - looking for confirmation rather than evidence. - luddite

4)   I don't believe so. Vaccines prevent potentially deadly diseases from wiping out huge portions of the population, and they have been used for decades. The rise in allergies and asthma is more recent. Just my opinion. I am more inclined to think the answer to the allergies lies in our food supply and how much it is messed with in the name of increasing profit margins. As for asthma, I'd look possibly at the popularity of recreational c-sections and our misguided need for every surface we touch to be sterile. - beenthere

5)   probably, but who is going to admit it? - John Whittington

6)   Of course not. It astounds me that people are willing to dismiss what doctors and scientists say while paying attention to and believing what a playboy model and (not so good - personal opinion) comedy actor says.

Have you ever studies science? If not how are you in a position to judge? How about going into a library and reading epidemiological studies on these subjects? Or even - god forbid - actually doing something about education and going to college?

It is always the most ignorant and uneducated people who don't bother to learn and read who would rather believe a kook web-site than even read an abstract from a proper study on PubMed - Nitram

7)   Vaccines turn on your internal immune system. If there is a problem with somebody being allergic to their own immune system would be strange. Be like 'Bubble Boy.' lol I'm sure there are people like that, though. As far as asthma, it is not an internally caused condition. The things like the rise in nuclear elements in the atmosphere would cause asthma. The rise in depleted fossil fuel in the atmosphere would cause a rise in asthma. An increase in pet dander would cause a rise in household allergies and asthma. Do you have something against medical students? - gregg

8)   Evidence says no.

That was a serious hypothesis once with a somewhat plausible mechanism, but the data just don't support it. The hygiene hypothesis is by far more supported.

In short, the allergenic response is the anti-parasitic response. Without parasitic infections, this arm of the immune system is disregulated and attacks harmless things, resulting in allergies.

The data supporting this are simple. South American countries that vaccinate heavily do not the same rate of allergies as US and Europe. The main difference is they still have a significant number of tropical parasites. - Weise Ente

Question 5
difference between homeopathic and conventional medicine?...  hi could you please give me a short summary of the differences between conventional and homeopathic medicine

Thanks

Answers
1)   the 1st convention of homeopathy was about 2500 years ago with Hypocrites! up until 1959 homeopathic doctors were the majority in medical expertise. they give a little of the bite that hurt you. penicillin & and all the other cillin's were found by homeopathy or a native american shaman. most of the medicine that actually cures a disease was originated by a homeopathic doctor or is an herb. in answer a minute amount of the problem is given to you with the understanding that it will build an immunity against the disease! - John Whittington

2)   To usefully summarise; Conventional medicine is plausible and has been demonstrated to work. Homoeopathy is magic. It's implausible and has never been demonstrated to work in high quality trials - Rhianna

3)   Homeopathic formulas work FROM the good that they do. Conventional medicine works FROM the bad it can destroy. In Homeopathic formulas, the herb found to cause good things like curing stomach ulcers or causing the breathing sacs in the lungs to open are pulled out by 'succussion,' 'potentization,' and dilution making it the pure element of action. In Conventional medicine, the element tested in the laboratory that can eliminate the certain virus is mixed with the good elements insofar as the body does not recognize the killer and it works that way by 'killing' the virus. - gregg

4)   Conventional medicine contains actual ingredients that have biochemical methods of action.
Homeopathy contains only water or sugar and works through magic. - Weise Ente

5)   Conventional medicine often works, though sometimes it can have bad side effects.

Homeopathy does nothing at all, good bad, or indifferent. - Flizbap 2.0
