Question 2
my father is suffering from cancer. can anybody suggest any astrology remedies?...  Any astro aurvedic remedies for throat cancer. please help

Answers
1)   I understand what your saying but, believe me there aren't any. Remember The sexy movie actress that believed in that ? the six million dollar mans X-wife. She went to Mexico against her doctors orders to get their help. What happen, it took the time away from her that they could have used to treat her and she died early.
I can understand the purpose of trying to clutch at straws but, again, it's taking time away from a valuable person that he could spend with his doctors or family.

My sister in law just died from this, it was quick, spread fast. It's a horrible disease but, if the doctors cannot help, there's not much you can do but make him comfortable and try to ease his pain. Good luck. - cowboydoc

2)   first you need remedy for your blind beliefs. For your father already medicines and treatments are available. - truth alone

3)   visit www.cosmicgrace.org - ts@greenpastures

4)   First check whether the cancer is at initial stage or not. There are powerful medicines which can avoid the recurrence of cancer cells. Check with your doctor first before going to ayurvedic medicines. - David Mongold

5)   I hope your father is receiving evidence-based treatment for his cancer, and not relying on this mumbo jumbo.

OF COURSE there are no 'astrology' remedies for cancer. And there is not a scrap of evidence of any ayurvedic treatments having any effect on any type of cancer, let alone being a 'remedy'.

There will always be people ruthless and greedy enough to take money from desperate and vulnerable cancer patients in exchange for this kind of unproven and disproven 'treatment' though. It's criminal that they persuade people to invest money and hope in ineffective and sometimes dangerous treatments, but the most dangerous thing they rob cancer patients of is TIME.

The window of opportunity for effective cancer treatments is limited. Your father shouldn't waste it chasing after miracles; I hope he's being treated by medical doctors.

Edit: kim s, you may be interested to know that I developed cancer after decades as a vegetarian and over 8 years as a vegan.

Through cancer support networks I've met 3 other vegans with the type of cancer I had, and dozens of vegetarians with it.

Can I ask how you square this with your assurance that a vegetarian diet is a 'remedy' for cancer? - lo_mcg

6)   Get medical help.

In the meanwhile you can try and understand the cause of disease.
Understand that means the sick person needs understanding and change of patterns
(thoughts, habits).

It may not always be easy.
You can always get external energetic help, but if the thoughts (and habits/attitudes) stay the same, they will continue supporting the disease.

Throat has something to do with expression, and also with creativity.

So please get medical help, and face the fears having to do with expression.
You can support the process with energy techniques like meditation, Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu, or other, but the most important will be the personal change.

Good luck. - SmartAss

7)   Both of my parents died of cancer. They're 91 & 98 years old.

When God wants to take you He will and no radiation, chemo or herbs can do magic for them to save them.

Sorry, just the facts. Mom wanted every magic solutions out there, from acupuncture to 'pyramid drinks' and yes they've cost her over $100,000 BUT did it helped her? NO! - Seeya

8)   Not sure what you mean by astrology remedies, but you can suggest he go on an all vegetable, fruit and nut diet. Drinking carrot juice, fruit smoothies, eating pineapple, grapes, oranges, stuff like that. Basically, become a vegetarian. You might also want to look into the raw food diet, as it's seemed to help a lot of people.

Question 3
Is the neti-pot an over the counter gimmick, or does it work?...  I have a chronic sinus infcetion/cold that will not give me any relief. I'm going to see a specialist but in the mean time I need some relief from a sinus head ache. I've had two doses of prescription strength ibuprofen, (about 1000mg total,) this morning. After two hours still no relief from the pain.

Someone suggested I try the saline nose tea pot thing. And idk it's been reccomended to me before but I never wanted to try it. It seemed ridiculous to me and just a gimmick to clean out your nasal passages. Could the neti pot help me with the severe pain I feel right now? Can you reccomend anything else?

Answers
1)   GIMMICK don't waste your money. People have been doing that in India for thousands of years with out a 'Netti' pot. Just mix salt with warm water in a dish or cup and slowly snort it. Play with how much salt at first. Not to much to start. It should SLIGHTLY burn but not be painful. It should taste like tears NOT like the ocean. I do this when i get a cold. Do it four/six times a day. The salt kills the bacteria. If it doesn't get better in a few days go to the doctor again. - Joshua

2)   it sometimes works but never for me - Ben H

3)   Joshua is right that people have been irrigating their sinuses for thousands of years without a Neti Pot, but the Neti Pot just makes it much easier. Before they came around, people would snort the salt or salt water and hope they didn't choke on it... the Neti Pot makes it easier for most people because gravity pulls the water down instead so people don't choke on it as easily.
It's hard to say if it will help with your pain depending on what the cause of the pain is. If it's from inflamed sinuses, it's a good chance it will help with the proper saline solution (a simple 1% salt solution... 1/8 tsp of salt to 1/2 cup water will make it close), but if it's from an open wound in your nose, it won't help at all short-term (although can help heal it over time, but it'll hurt). I would definitely say to give it a few tries (as it takes a couple tries to get used to it)... as long as your nose isn't completely stuffed and blocked up, it should work and wash out some of the extra mucus that can be adding to the pressure.

Technically, it could be called a gimmick in the same way that a ball-point pen was a "gimmick" when it first came out... they could write with ink before that (with a quill and ink well), the pen just made it much easier. Good luck and I hope I helped! - oldtimekid2

4)   It is not a gimmick and does HELP but it is not a cure or something that you use every day and it will not treat an infection. - JEREMY S

5)   It makes you feel better. It is not a cure. When I first heard of a neti pot I thought...'oh, gross.' My cousin sent me one, I used it and .... now I use it frequently and get relief. You can get the same effect with a syringe, but a neti pot is easier to use. I urge you to try it. - Tom

6)   Gimmick implies something that suckers you out of money and doesn't work.

That said, Neti pots are an effective means of nasal lavage (thats the medical term) and it can help, but it depends on whats causing the headache - there is more than one thing that can be going on with the sinuses. Its worth a shot though.

Good Luck - Tink

For some people it helped to go through the fears.

It may help to concentrate on the ankles for half an hour every day. I once did it for an hour while waiting at the dentist and had amazing effects (like a free painkiller). Was it a placebo or autosuggestion, or whatever explanation, I don't care, it did a great job for me.
Just try and see what it does to you.

Good luck. - SmartAss

5)   I am sorry to inform you - there is not much you can, short of being hypnotised by the professional.
It is a primeval fear deep seated inside you.

Look at it but from the bright side.
You'll never finish up shooting some drugs down your arm.

Only the help of Nature in form of overdose on Vitamins, minerals, certain enzymes and hormones can start the healing process to sick and needy.
